+ Talking about money makes me anxious. How do you handle it?
I get it! Talking about money can be scary, and I’m here to help us both navigate it. In our intial consultation, we will talk about fees and any questions or concerns you may have. I’ll also provide information around how payment works (usually with a card on file) and when you will be charged. If money anxiety is something you want to explore and shift in our sessions together, we can do that as well.
+ What if I can't afford your full fee?
I keep a number of reduced fee slots available for folks who need them. Please let me know in our initial consultation if you are interested in one of the slots. If we are unable to find something that works into your financial situation, I am happy to provide referrals that either provide lower or no cost services or utilize client insurance.
If your financial situation changes partway through our work together and you are no longer able to afford my full fee, please let me know. I’ve found that more often than not I’m able to come up with an acceptable arrangement with most people.
+ How do Out of Network (OON) benefits work?
With OON benefits, you pay the full session fee upfront. Then, I can provide documentation for you to request reimbursement. You submit a claim and, depending on your plan, your insurance company may help reimburse a portion of the cost of services by mailing you a check.
Note: I am not liable if your insurance denies any of these claims, so be sure to get all the information from your insurance company before coming in for your appointment if you are planning to use OON benefits.
This blog provides some helpful information on navigating out-of-network benefits including questions to ask when verifying your out of network benefits. If you are attending sessions via telehealth, be sure to also ask if your OON befits will cover it.
